It was during her first week at film school that London Pennell, née Hartard met Tom Pennell. “I was feeling completely lost trying to find my new locker, so I asked a nearby group of students for help,” London tells Vogue, recalling that day five years ago. “Suddenly this gorgeous boy turned around, and offered to show me the way.”

But this wasn‘t the first time the pair had laid eyes on one another. They later realised that they’d seen each other once before. “On the light rail one morning,” London explains. “Tom says he remembers every little detail of that moment.
